Kelly is an occupational therapist with over 14 years’ experience in therapy services. She joined The Summit in 2001 and worked as a staff therapist and advanced to Director of Rehab. From there she was promoted to Regional Director and most recently has serviced as Chief Operations Officer for The Summit. Kelly has vast experience in health care administration ranging from program development and implementation, compliance, fiscal accountability, education, customer relations and quality assurance.
Kelly’s rehab management experience includes managing staffing and operations in school, acute hospital, sub-acute, hospital outpatient, skilled nursing facility, nursing home, hospice, and outpatient rehab facility settings. She has also provided extensive staff training across disciplines for rules and regulations in those settings. Kelly holds a bachelor’s of science degree in occupational therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and holds a Master’s of Science in Business Management from Belhaven University. Kelly was recently selected to enter the Doctorate of Health Administration program at University of Mississippi Medical Center and is presently pursuing her doctorate.
In addition to her duties at The Summit, Kelly is an adjunct professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Occupational Therapy. She teaches Management Practices and Professional Leadership to the master’s level students. She also has served as an expert witness for therapy services in long term care. Kelly serves as the Central district co-chair in the Mississippi Occupational Therapy Association. She also serves as a mentor with Jackson Prep’s Global Leadership Institute.
Kelly is married to Tanny Crawford, a physical therapist, and they reside in Madison, Mississippi. They have 3 children, Laurie, Cole, and Camille. She is active in First Baptist Church and serves in the worship ministry. Kelly’s most favorite things are spending time with her family and traveling.
